Microsoft Access
Microsoft Access
Access is a useful small Microsoft database. The database is used in office settings as well as for smaller system setups. More demanding applications are not suitable for Access because of lack of multiple user profiles and a limited performance scope. The OPC Router connects Access databases to other systems within the higher system architecture of any company.

Bringing Industry 4.0 to life with Microsoft Access
- Achieving more with coupled systems:
Combining Access databases via the OPC Router has several advantages: Important data can be distributed and recorded between various high-performant systems. Moreover, insular system solutions or stand-alone systems can be connected via the OPC Router, including crosslinking various enterprise systems in your interconnected production plants whilst also making the best possible use of the available data in the Access database. - Industry 4.0 for Access:
Data from small access-based applications often contain valuable data. With the OPC Router you can also integrate this data into your industry 4.0-structure. - About OPC Router:
The OPC Router offers a visual network configuration interface for successful cross-linking of your systems. A high variety of Plug-ins turns the OPC Router into a powerful data hub for industrial applications.Easy configuration, sophisticated monitoring and robustness are main distinguishing features of the OPC Router.
Connecting Systems
Transfer-Objects
The transfer object of the Microsoft Access Plug-in allows access to Tables and Views in the Access database. The Access database is a data file.
Tables
Select, update, insert and delete actions are available for the tables. After successful processing of data sets they can be marked as transferred by the OPC Router.
Views
Views are only accessed as a select query.
Trigger
The Microsoft Access Plug-in does not have its own triggers and therefore works with the standard triggers of the OPC router.
Browsing
The Microsoft Access Plug-in can browse the available tables and views from the Access database.
Tables and Views
All tables and views can be accessed by the user are read from the database system. The columns and their types are determined and made available for selection.
